User setup for Investor Portal

 

 

In Investor Portal, there are two types of accounts that can be created

  • Consumer account - The consumer account can sign in to Investor Portal secured by Azure AD B2C, but cannot access Azure resources such as the Azure portal
  • Administrator account - The administrator account can be used to manage tenant from Azure Portal. It can create application registration,  consumer account management , login flow creation etc.  

 

Consumer Account 

Create from Azure Portal

  • Login into the In Azure Portal as a Administrator of B2C tenant, search for the B2C tenant and open.
  • In the left hand menu, under Manage, select Users
  • In the top Menu select  + New user -> Create new user

  • Select Create Azure AD B2C user.
    • Ensure in the Select template, Create Azure AD B2C user is selected.
    • Select Sign-in method as Email. Enter the user's email.
    • Please see user must have access to the email inbox linked with this email id. Verification codes will be sent over the email address.
    • Set the name, first name last name for the user
    • Create a password.

  • Hit the Create button

The Consumer account is still not ready to be used by a user. Create the Investor account in the LemonEdge Client application and link with an existing user. Now the credentials can be shared with the user.

 

Reset Password by Administrator

  • Go to Users in the B2C tenant as mentioned above.
  • From the top menu select Reset Password. A new password will be generated for the user.

Self-service Password Reset

 

  • Open the Investor Portal log screen.
  • Select Forgot your password

  • Enter the email address. Click on Send verification code button.

 

  • Go to your email inbox and get the verification code. Paste the verification code in the next screen.

  • Press continue. Now enter the new password.
  • Close the Browser and reopen the Investor Portal to use the new password. 

 

Administrator account

Please see: Guest user can be invited to to collaborate with your organization in B2C tenant . Such users, will need to contact administrator of their own organization to reset the password.

 

 

Invite from Azure Portal - Guest user

  • Login into the Azure Portal as a Administrator of B2C tenant, search for the B2C tenant and open.
  • In the left hand menu, under Manage, select Users
  • In the top Menu select  + New user -> Invite new user
  • In the New user screen
    • Ensure in the Select template, Invite user is selected
    • Enter the Email address and other details of the user
    • Optionally, also add a personal message to be sent with the invite email.
  •  

  • Now to add administrator role to this user, In the Groups & roles section, select the Role.
  • In the right hand menu select 'Global Administrator'

  • Select Invite. The email invitation will be sent over to the user.
